Location, location, location. This Chalet style home is located in 
the Pines and Aspens, 1/4 mile from the State Park at Thumb Butte, 
yet 2 miles from Whiskey Row and the Courthouse Square in downtown 
Prescott. You can walk to the state park and explore the multitude of 
hiking and biking paths that would take days to master. Or, if 
shopping, dining, and nightlife is your calling, you can't beat our 
famous "Whiskey Row" for a good dose of live music, dancing, dining. 
A multitude of shops and restaurants line the Square, along with the 
events in the Square that Prescott is so well known for.
 
Sunrises over the granite boulders, and sunsets views over Thumb 
Butte is a daily event here. The house in private and sits on almost 
an acre. There is plenty of parking for cars and even an RV.
 
This mountain home is 4 bedroom 2.5 bath and is perfect for large 
familles or groups of friends.  All the rooms are large and 
comfortable. The high ceilings with expansive windows take full 
advantage of the sky and views.
 
As you walk in the front door, you are greeted by the living room 
with  log home style furnishings that face a cedar bookcase with 
TV/DVD, 6 CD stereo, and an electric fireplace on bricks. Huge 
windows look  out to the trees and Thumb Butte. Off the living room 
is an open kitchen/dining/family room, and 1/2 bathroom.Since 
Prescott is one of the oldest western towns in Arizona, this room was 
designed after the western tradition.A stone wood burning fireplace 
centers the room, with a large sofa and ottoman facing it. Across the 
room is a "farm table" that is 9 feet long, seats 10, and is just 
what you'd expect from a western BBQ.  The kitchen has granite 
countertops with lots of cupboards, gas stove and all the amenities 
of home. There is a bar area with 2 log barstools for those who like 
to watch the chef cook. You'll love all the western bric brac and the 
spirits of the old west. Off the kitchen is a sliding glass door 
that exits out to a patio with barbecue and side covered deck. You 
can sit on the deck and watch deer run through the property, and 
enjoy stargazing at night.
Up the stairs are 3 large bedrooms. All the bedroom have high A frame 
beamed ceilings with expansive windows. The Master bedroom has a mini 
loft with twin futon for a child, along with a thick pillow top King 
bed, with TV and down bedding. The sunrises are beautiful from the 
window looking east. Next to the master is another bedroom with queen 
bed, and gets full sun in the mornings.
Down the hall is another room with King bed, and large windows that 
make you feel you're sleeping at the bottom of Thumb Butte. It faces 
a large bookcase with electric fireplace and is very romantic. All 
the bedding has designer coverings and upscale linens. Off the master 
is a laundry room, and a large full bathroom with a separate two 
person jetted bathtub, shower, sink. For those that hike, this tub is 
the perfect antidote for aching muscles. 
Another large bedroom takes up the 1st floor and has a King bed, twin 
bed, TV/VCR and has its own full bathroom. This is a great place for 
total privacy, or to put the kids when you want your privacy  
upstairs.
 
This is the perfect getaway for those who want to be close to 
everything, but like the solitude of mountain living.
